Kensington American Legion will lead a Retirement of Colors ceremony at 5:45pm on Saturday at the Douglas County Fair


Shown is where the Retirement of Colors ceremony will be hosted by the Kensington American Legion on Saturday night at the Douglas County Fair.

Lots of action taking place at the 123rd annual Douglas County Fair

Plenty of Runestone and Working Wonders 4-H kids showing today in lamb, sheep, and swine categories today at the Douglas County Fair. I'm heading there this morning.

Also at the fair, District One county commissioner Jerry Johnson of rural Evansville will be in a dunk tank! I'm tracking down what day/time that will take place.

Local politicians will be available to meet with this weekend at the Douglas County Fair

The Douglas County DFL invites you to meet a handful of candidates at the county fair this weekend in Alexandria. Here's what they sent me:

Saturday, August 21

And yes, the Republicans have a booth too and will be available to visit with.

Douglas County Fair is this week! 4-H livestock entries take place tomorrow with rabbit/chicken judging to follow


I'll have updates on the Douglas County Fair throughout the week. A number of Hoffman-Kensington area 4-Hers will be showing off the results of their hard work at the event.
