I've started to add albums with pictures from this past weekend's 62nd annual Hoffman Harvest Festival to the Herman-Hoffman Tribune website Dotphoto gallery.

I'll have a handful of photos from the Pope County Fair and the Hoffman Harvest Festival in the August 19 issue of the Herman-Hoffman Tribune.
This blog will host viewpoints by the editor on various topics, as well as information for the Farwell-Hoffman-Kensington-Donnelly-Herman-Norcross, Minnesota area residents and families, and anyone else on the world-wide web who has an interest in the success and growth of the west central Minnesota area. Farwell, Kensington, Hoffman, Donnelly, Herman, and Norcross are west central Minnesota towns located between the larger towns of Alexandria, Glenwood, Morris, and Elbow Lake.

Visit Hoffman History Hut during Harvest Festival

You are invited to visit the Hoffman History Hut during the weekend of the 62nd annual Hoffman Harvest Festival, according to its owner, Ruth Johnson. Hours are on Friday, August 13 from 1pm to 5pm, Saturday, August 14 from 10am to 5pm, and Sunday, August 15 from 11am to 1:30pm (when the parade begins). It is located on Main Street in Hoffman, to the right of the Hoffman Grocery.
The feature exhibit of the History Hut during the Harvest Festival is "A glimpse of Hoffman businesses 50 years ago." Ruth Johnson coordinated the publishing of the Hoffman Centennial book, spending hundreds of hours on its writing and assembly.
Permanent exhibits at the History Hut will also be featured - "Faith of our Fathers", a church exhibit - and "Readin', Ritin', and Remembering", a rural Hoffman school exhibit.
The Hoffman Bearcat classes of 1960 and 1965 will also be celebrating reunions that weekend.

Hoffman Harvest Festival garage sale info due by August 4
The Herman-Hoffman Tribune is currently accepting garage sale information during the Hoffman Harvest Festival, which will run August 13 through August 15. The Tribune asks that anyone organizing a garage sale in Hoffman must submit the information via e-mail with a due date of August 4. The e-mail requirement will eliminate the chance of errors for the garage sale map and list that the Tribune will be putting together.
If you are reading this on my blog then you probably have the ability to e-mail me the information.
The e-mail to submit them to is hofftrib@runestone.net. Upon receiving the e-mail, we will reply that we received it. Any submissions after August 4 will not be included in the map or list, because they will be printed on the morning of August 5.
