University of Minnesota-Morris Cougars football wins home opener today during annual CougarFest

The Cougars defense comes up with a big fumble recovery in the third quarter of today's game at Big Cat Stadium.












Below, the University of Minnesota-Morris Cougars football team is shown celebrating their big upset win over Westminster College (Missouri) today at Big Cat Stadium in front of a huge crowd during the annual CougarFest. Final score: UMM 20, Westminster 14. The Cougars improve to 2-0 on the 2010 season.


The Cougars' defense was outstanding, holding a potent Bluejays offense to only 151 total yards.

At 2-0 the Cougars will go on the road for the next two weeks, before returning home for Homecoming on Oct. 9.
